Paper Mill Lock

 
  The navigation's traditional half way house and the site of the original companies' offices. There is a Tea Room and toilets adjacent to the Lock. There are a number of boats moored in the stream leading to the cascade weir. A small road running from Danbury to Hatfield Peverel crosses the navigation at the bridge below the lock.

At Paper Mill there is a slipway for launching trail boats. Those interested in launching a boat should contact the Paper Mill Tearooms on 01245 225520. Permanent moorings and licenses are also available here contact Hugh Turners on 07910 558465.[Moorings Manager] for more details.
