Barns Lock to Sandford Lock |

The old waterworks adjacent to Sandford Lock is being turned into a museum but is only open to the public on special occasions. There are proposals to use the old settlement tanks as a small marina and to build a permanent base for Susan, the last remaining "traditional" boat on the navigation. |

The two pictures below are of the Chelmer Barge Susan. Taken in the late seventies I think they are of members of the IWA inspecting her prior to purchase from the Proprietors.
I am not certain of the location but have included them here as this is where she is being kept by the Susan Trust. |
